In 2007  Ilsa was chosen to create public art for large companies such as Riverside housing association, United Utilities and the Culture Company and has won competitive tenders such as her design for the 08 Iconic public seating bench for the city of Liverpool. Soon after this she took a studio at Arena in Liverpool and developed a range of experimental lighting prototypes to exhibit at Design show Liverpool in 2008.

It was at this show on the strength of the work exhibited that Ilsa was selected to participate in the BBC reality documentary “design for life” with Philippe Starck in Paris. Ilsa developed an industrial product for her project and upon her return to the UK Ilsa launched her product design agency and 3D creative consultancy REthinkthings by Ilsa Parry in April 2009

Ilsa is currently course leader on the 3D design course at Liverpool community college and she runs her product design agency from her independent studio in Liverpool city centre. Ilsa works on projects for clients such as Mc Donalds and Kirsty Doyle and work ranges from one off bespoke furniture commissions to industrial design for production.

The main focus of her agency is to develop her own values and beliefs into production ready Icons which are functional sustainable quirky and humanistic. Ilsa develops her ideas from concept through to batch production and then seeks to work with investors and manufacturers to reach the mass market. Ilsa is looking to grow her business and is working in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores university to apply her entrepreneurial skills to her creative output. REthikthings products can be seen at trade shows and galleries around the UK.
